OBIT-WILLIAMS, EARL BRUCE
WILLIAMS, Earl Bruce, 73, of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, January 25, 1994 at
his residence. He was born in Rockbridge County on August 24, 1920, the son of
the late Lorenza Earl and Willie Bruce Arthur Williams. He was a veteran of
World War II, having served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was retired from
Lee's Carpets after 44 years service. He is survived by his wife, Margaret
Addison Williams, Buena Vista; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Carl
Johnson, Mechanicsville; daughter and son-in-law, Yancey and Mike Wheeler,
Buena Vista, and daughter, Lori Lawhorne, Buena Vista; grandchildren, Rebecca
Johnson, Mechanicsville, Justin Wheeler, Magen and Kayla Lawhorne, all of
Buena Vista; four sisters, Ruby Pugh, Natural Bridge Station, Mamie Inman,
Gilmores Mill, Nellie Shafer, Maine, and Alma Coleman, Vesuvius; three
brothers, James Williams and Roy Williams, both of Natural Bridge, and Robert
Williams, Hopewell; special friends, Herbert Ramsey and Dewey Wiseman. Funeral
services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, January 28 at Lomax Funeral Home chapel
with Elder Garvis Wheeler and the Rev. David Bain officiating. Military
graveside rites will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will
receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lomax Funeral Home.
