OBIT-MAHAFFEY, GREGORY SHERWOOD
MAHAFFEY, Gregory Sherwood, 44, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Sunday, January
23, 1994, following a short illness. Mr. Mahaffey was a former resident of
Pearisburg. He was born in Giles County on November 9, 1949, and was a son of
Lois Lucas Mahaffey and Russell Mahaffey. He was a member of the Pearisburg
Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Lois Lucas Mahaffey of
Pearisburg; father, Russell E. Mahaffey of Ripplemead; one daughter, Erin
Elizabeth Mahaffey of Wytheville; one sister, Janis Mitchell of Richmond.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 28, 1994, 11 a.m. in the
Givens Funeral Chapel, Pearisburg, Va. with the Rev. Wilson Conwell and the
Rev. Shahn Wilburn officiating with burial in Birchlawn Burial Park. The
family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Thursday from 6 to 8:30
p.m.
