USAir Express carrier Chautauqua Airlines said Wednesday it will add a third flight between Roanoke Regional and Norfolk International airports. The new service begins Feb. 16.
Daily service between Roanoke and Norfolk began in July with two flights and has been well-supported, said Mac McCadden, district sales manager for USAir Group in Roanoke. "Norfolk service is a must for the Blue Ridge Valley traveler," he said.
The additional flight, which includes a short stop in Richmond, will depart Roanoke at 11:35 a.m. and arrive in Norfolk at 1:05 p.m. Return service will leave Norfolk at 2:25 p.m. and arrive in Roanoke at 3:55 p.m.
The one-way fare from Roanoke to Richmond is $99, with no advance purchase required. The fare from Roanoke to Norfolk is $99 with a three-day advanced purchase and $149 without advance purchase. - Staff report
