OBIT--BALL, C.W.O. CLYDE S., ("RET.")

BALL, C.W.O. Clyde S., ("Ret."), 73, of Tacoma, Wash., died November 24, 1993. He was born in Roanoke. Mr. Ball served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a P.O.W. in Germany. He also did tour of duty in Austria and Korea. Clyde was a man who loved his family and friends and shared generously with others and always enjoyed a good story. His warmth will be missed by many. He is mourned by his wife of 35 years, Marge Ball, Tacoma, Wash.; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald D. and Jill Ball, Simpsonville, S.C.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Judy and Raymond Byers, Vinton, Carol A. Ball, Florida; one stepdaughter and her husband, Linda and Darwayne Batway, Tacoma, Wash.; two brothers, Emmett O. Ball, Roanoke, Billy B. Ball, Bedford; six grandchildren, Cindy Byers Hunnell, Randy Byers, Adam Ball, Aaron Ball, Nathan Batway, Joshua Batway. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 29, 1994, 2 p.m., at Woodside Presbyterian Church, Roanoke Ave., S.W., Roanoke.
