Michael J. Valentine is a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity at Radford University. Because of incorrect information given the newspaper, a Thursday New River Current story about the arrest of seven men for a weekend incident identified him as a member of an unchartered fraternity. The other six charged were all members or friends of members of the former Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter at Radford.
