SALEM SQUAD PLANS BLOODMOBILE SATURDAY

The Salem Rescue Squad and American Red Cross will sponsor a "Second Chance" bloodmobile Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the rescue squad building, 201 South Broad St.

The squad sponsored a drive Jan. 7 in response to a blood shortage. It said Saturday's bloodmobile is prompted by "the overwhelming interest expressed by those persons who were willing to donate blood, but were unable to Jan. 7."

O-negative, O-positive and A-negative blood are particularly needed. The Red Cross said it was still 520 units under normal levels Wednesday afternoon.
