OBIT--LEE, MARIA WARD

LEE, Maria Ward, 93, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 1994. She was the widow of John P. Lee and preceded in death by her daughter, Cora T. Lee Hall and son, Carl Lee. Survivors include two daughters, Annie Lee, Mary (Thurman) Woody; one son, Lewis Lee, all of Roanoke; 15 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 43 great-great-grandchildren; a devoted friend, Argie Young of Roanoke; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday 2 p.m. at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Marvin Fields will officiate with interment in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
