OBIT--DUNBAR, BASIL BALLARD
DUNBAR, Basil Ballard, 73, of Pembroke, died Wednesday, January 26, 1994 in
a Pearisburg hospital. Born in Monroe County, W.Va. on June 27, 1920, he was a
son of the late Charles and Annie Evans Dunbar. He was employed with the
National Gypsum Company, Goldbond Plant for 35 years and was a World War II
veteran. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. He is
survived by his wife of 48 years, Christine Eppling Dunbar; a son, Basil B.
(B.J.) Dunbar Jr. and daughter-in-law, Margaret Dunbar of Covington; two
grandsons, Chad Allen Dunbar and Adam Clay Dunbar. Graveside services will be
conducted Friday 1 p.m. in the New Zion Church Cemetery, Waiteville, W.Va.
with the Rev. Eddie Kendall officiating and the American Legion and V.F.W.
performing military rites. Funeral arrangements were with Kendall Funeral
Home, Pembroke.
