WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TO HIT THE AIRWAVES

WVRU, 89.9 FM, Radford University's public radio station, will air the Lady Highlander basketball game against the Hokies of Virginia Tech Tuesday at 6:50 p.m.

Dave Hunziker, the voice of the Highlanders, will give the play-by-play.

"Talk of the Town," airing Wednesday at 8 p.m. and again Friday at 1 p.m., features highlights from an address by Gennadi Gerasimov, who served as a spokesman for former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev.

The topic is "Was Perestroika Inevitable? The Pressure for Change in the Soviet Union."

Music of historic and modern-day composers will be featured on "San Francisco Symphony Orchestra" at noon Sunday.
