SHAWSVILLE-Shannon Havens scored 27 points and Bland sent the Shawnees to their 11th loss of the season in a Mountain Empire District boys' game.
Shawsville (0-11 overall, 0-9 district) cut its deficit to three points with 2 1/2 minutes left, but Bland (6-6, 5-4) made seven of nine free throws the rest of the way, including a 4-for-4 performance by David Lambert, who finished with 11 points.
Darrell Bibb scored 19 points, Jeremy Nichols 16 and Tommy Jones 12 for Shawsville. \

ROCKY GAP - Guard Patrick Bailey sank three 3-pointers to start the fourth quarter as the Green Wave surged for 28 points in the final quarter to beat the Eagles in a Mountain Empire District game.
Bailey, who finished with a game-high 31 points, keyed a Narrows offensive run that snapped a 47-47 tie after three quarters. The Green Wave (2-7, 1-5) got 12 points and 11 rebounds from center Norman Perkins. \

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Robbie Pickett's 3-point play with six seconds left in regulation tied the game and then Tommy Jones scored five points in overtime to pace Calvary Christian's non-district victory.
Gateway Christian (4-3) led by five points with 24 seconds left, but missed two one-and-one free throws. The Crusaders got 23 points from Ryan Gordon.
