The Highlanders hurt themselves by hitting only 47 percent of their free throws, including two key misses in the final 15 seconds, and committing 26 turnovers.
Jones led the Cougars with 24 points, including three 3-pointers. Rogers had 20 points, and Corey Hunter added 13.
Brad Melton paced Glenvar with 17 points. David Robinson contributed 13, and Josh Williamson added 10.

Monty Smith pumped in 30 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the Raiders to a Virginia Independent Conference victory over the Celtics.
Smith, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound forward, scored 22 of his points in the second half.
Hal Johnson, a 6-6 center, added 17 for North Cross (6-5, 5-2). Johnson sank five 3-pointers in the second quarter as the Raiders outscored Catholic 28-14 to grab a 48-35 lead.
Point guard Marcus Cardwell added 16 points and 11 assists for North Cross.
Deon Royer led the Celtics (6-7, 3-5) with 27 points. Catholic had five players with at least 13 points.

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Josh MacDermod scored 18 points as the Eagles soared over Hilton Head (S.C.) Christian Academy in the seventh-place game of Christian Cup XIX.
Richard Booth added 14 points and 10 assists for Roanoke Valley Christian (5-9). David Rakes and Billy Fluker scored 13 apiece, and Scott Apjok added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Mark Devaney and Matt Hedtke combined for 33 points to lead Hilton Head.

LEXINGTON - Rockbridge County senior Marty Early scored the 1,000th point of his career, but the Wildcats fell to the Terriers in the Blue Ridge District.
Michael McGuire scored 23 points, including six 3-pointers for William Byrd (7-5, 2-2), which led 43-27 at halftime. Matt Bryant added 18 points, Chris Childress 14 and Donald Childress 13.
Early finished with a team-high 17 points and has 1,003 for his career. Michael Chambers added 15 points and Martin Mayercheck 12 for Rockbridge (5-5, 0-4).
\ Oak Hill Academy 88\ Dunbar-Lexington (Ky.) 63
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Curtis Staples hit seven of 11 3-point attempts and led the Warriors past Dunbar, the No. 1-ranked team in Kentucky.
Staples, a guard from Roanoke, finished with 28 points for Oak Hill (22-1). Alex Sanders added 22 points and Mark Blount had 17 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocks. Shane Carnes had nine assists and five steals to go with eight points.
Randy Smith's 16 points led Dunbar (14-4).
