OBIT--MCCORMICK, HATTIE RUTH BROWNING

McCORMICK, Hattie Ruth Browning, 71, of Seven Mile Ford, died Friday, January 28, 1994, at her home. She was the widow of James Harvey McCormick, Jr. She was a member of the Honakers Chapel Methodist Church, Hansonville, Va. and a retired employee of the Virginia House Furniture Corporation, Atkins. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Bob and Moelina McCormick, Chilhowie; one sister, Betty Whittaker, Andalusia, Ala.; two granddaughters, Mrs. Angie Blevins and Mrs. Tammy Foster both of Chilhowie; one special great-granddaughter, Nikki Blevins, Chilhowie; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel, Chilhowie, with the Rev. Willard C. Reedy and the Rev. J.B. Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in the Adwolfe Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the following nephews, Jimmy Osborne, Roger Browning, Jeff Browning, Danny Browning, Allen Browning and Ronnie Rose. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Williams Funeral Home or at any time at the home of her son, Rev. Bob McCormick, Sulphur Springs Road, Chilhowie.
