MORRIS-SIMMONS

Ellen Lucy Simmons and JosephStephen Morris were united in marriage on Saturday, January 29, 1994 in Peters Creek Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Pete Bain was the officiating clergyman. The reception immediately followed the ceremony in the Church Fellowship Hall.

Heather Rock, daughter of the bride, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Karen Solis, cousin of the bride; Karen Killen and Maria Rogulski, friends of the bride. The flowergirls were Hope Rhea and Katrina Witt, nieces of the groom. Letcher Morris served as his son's best man. The ushers were MichaelMorris, Pat Morris and Ben Morris, brothers of the groom. The ringbearers were Daniel and Eric Solis, cousins of the bride. Angela Roberson, friend of the bride, attended the guestbook.

The bridal flowers were designed by stained glass artist & designer, Kathy Kelderhouse, friend of the bride.

Ellen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Simmons of Eagle Rock. She is a graduate of James River High School, attended Virginia Western Community College, and is employed by the Roanoke Times & World-News. Joseph is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Letcher Morris of Daleville. He is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and Bluefield College, and isemployed by CarMerica by Bogle Tire.

Following a Southern wedding trip, the newlyweds will reside in Salem.
