OBIT HYLTON, SARAH ELIZABETH

HYLTON, Sarah Elizabeth, , of Roanoke, died Monday, January 31, 1994. She was the widow of Jake P. Hylton and was formerly employed by the General Electric cafeteria and the Roma Restaurant. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene Griffin of Buchanan, Becky H. and Don Nolen of Stewartsville, Dee Dee and Richard Arthur of Roanoke; one foster son, Phillip Suphin. Stepchildren, Geraldine Garvey and Lorene Bishop, both of Roanoke; Lowell Hylton of Great Falls, Montana. Grandchildren Neil Griffin, Matt Griffin, Derrick Nolen, Jesse Doss, Ronnie Garvey, Carlton Garvey, Shannon Doss, Brenda Maxey, Treena Griffin, Carolyn Bailey; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold Boothe of Bonsack, Walter Boothe of Daleville, J. E. Boothe, Axton; sisters, Kathleen Allen of Roanoke, Clara Greene of Botetourt County, Betty Ann Koger of Fieldale. Several nieces and nephews. Services will be at Daleville Baptist Church, 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. W. Nolan Teague will officiate. Interment will follow in Mount Union Cemetery, Botetourt County. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, after noon Tuesday.
