HUMAN-SERVICE CONFERENCE IN SALEM

Leaders of human service organizations in the New River and Roanoke valleys will have a chance to hone their skills and exchange ideas and information at the Leadership Conference for Human Service Organizations later this month in Salem.

Registration deadline is Friday. The cost is $20, which includes lunch.

The conference will be held Feb. 23, 8:55 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Salem.

Topics will include ways to expand funding sources, strategic planning, the value of coalitions, board and staff evaluation and assessment and recruiting and retaining volunteers.
