The Raiders bolted to a 16-point halftime lead and cruised to a Blue Ridge Conference victory over the Eagles.

North Cross guards Heather Perry and Katheryn Anthony combined for 29 points and numerous steals as the Raiders (9-4, 6-2) employed pressure defense from the opening tip. Emily Kennedy added 12 rebounds for the Raiders.

Roanoke Valley Christian (7-7, 4-3) cut the deficit to eight points with a strong third quarter, but North Cross gradually pulled away in the final period.

Jenny Coons' 11 points led RVC. \

Hargrave Military 9

Elaine Ronquillo and Abby Dickson scored 14 points apiece, and Teresa Monsour chipped in 13 as the Celtics ripped the visiting Tigers in a Blue Ridge Conference game.

Roanoke Catholic (11-5, 8-2) led 19-0 in the first quarter and coasted.

Rebecca Weirzbic grabbed 11 rebounds, and Christy Hinman had 10 for the Celtics. \
