'SKINS KEEP 4 AIDES

There will be four familiar coaching faces on the Washington Redskins' sideline next season.

New Redskins head coach Norv Turner will retain four assistants from the staff of fired coach Richie Petitbon, and although Turner hasn't officially announced some other staff members, their identity is no secret.

Keeping their Redskins Park offices will be offensive line coach Jim Hanifan; Emmitt Thomas, who remains as defensive coordinator working with the secondary; research and development coach Charley Taylor; and tight ends coach Russ Grimm.

Dick Coury, who has been a special assistant with the Minnesota Vikings, is expected to be named Turner's offensive coordinator today. Former Cincinnati Bengals' defensive coordinator Ron Lynn is Turner's assistant head coach/defense, and moving with Lynn from Cincinnati are line coach Bob Karmelowicz and linebackers coach Mike Haluchak.

The offensive staff also includes running backs coach Bobby Jackson, who has served the same role with Phoenix, and receivers coach Cam Cameron, who has been the quarterbacks and receivers coach at the University of Michigan. Pete Rodriguez, who comes to the Redskins from Phoenix, will work with the special teams.
