OBIT DIXON, ANNA TOMPKINS

DIXON, Anna Tompkins, 94, of Elm Park Estates, Roanoke, died Tuesday, February 1, 1994, in a Salem hospital. She is survived by a daughter, Marian Dixon Knowles, Bedford; two sons, Dallas Ray Dixon, Spokane, Wash., Donald Kay Dixon, Greensboro, N.C.; a sister, Carrie Lee Ayers, Salem; a brother, Phocion H. (June) Tompkins Jr., Salem; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 4, 1994, at 2 p.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel, with the Rev. J. Landon Maddex officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Lotz Salem Chapel.
