OBIT--RAMBO, THOMAS E.

RAMBO, Thomas E., 66, of Route 4, Gate City died Friday, February 4, 1994, at Brian Center in Weber City, Va. after a lengthy illness. He was a member of Hilton United Methodist Church and was retired from Virginia State Health Dept. Mr. Rambo was a native of Washington County, Va. and had made his home in Scott County, Va. for the last several years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas S. and Byrdie Lewis Rambo. He is survived by his wife, Susie Rambo of the home; daughter, Mrs. Sam (Becky) Bellamy, Hilton, Va.; grandson, Jon Bellamy, Hilton, Va.; sister, Mrs. Ella Scott Wright, Damascus, Va.; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, Va. and any time at residence. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Don Umbarger and the Rev. Kenneth Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Holston View cemetery, Weber City, Va. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hilton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 10, Hilton, Va. 24258.
