Cave Spring (9-7 overall, 4-1 district) remained at the top of the district standings with the victory. The Knights connected on 14 of 21 3-point attempts, a school record for 3-pointers made in a game. Matt Matheny, who finished with 23 points, nailed four 3-pointers, and Jeff Lang, who scored 14 points, hit three.
The Knights led 39-32 at halftime after hitting nine 3-pointers in the first half, and then held on in the second half.

DANVILLE - Moe Preston hit all 10 of his free-throw attempts in the fourth quarter and went 11-of-12 for the game as the Patriots rolled past the Eagles in non-district action.
Patrick Henry (10-4) led 46-38 after three quarters and outscored GW-Danville 33-24 in the final period to secure the victory.
Chris Combs led all Patriots scorers with 24 points, nine in the final quarter. Eugene Cook added 16 and Shannon Taylor had 12.
Nathan Poole scored 13 points to lead the Eagles. Chris Reese added 11.

ROCKY MOUNT - The Hilltoppers scored the first 12 points of the fourth quarter to erase a nine-point deficit and clip the Eagles in a non-district game.
With Chad Foutz scoring 21 of his 31 points in the second and third quarters, Franklin County (8-7) built a 61-52 lead. But E.C. Glass (6-6) rallied to grab a 64-61 lead with four minutes remaining.
Foutz, who hit five 3-pointers, tied the score at 64 with a 3-pointer, but the Eagles never regained the lead.
Franklin County built its lead at the free-throw line, where it scored 21 consecutive shots before missing one. The Eagles were 24-of-28 at the line and missed all four in the fourth quarter. The Hilltoppers were 14-for-20 at the line.
Andre Kendrick led Glass with 20 points. Dexter Hubbard added 16, and Chris Turner scored 15.
Carlos Holland chipped in 19 for Franklin County.
\ Roanoke Valley Christian 64\ Timberlake Christian 62
LYNCHBURG - Joel Nester hit an 18-foot jumper at the buzzer to cap an improbable fourth-quarter comeback that gave the Eagles a Virginia Independent Conference victory.
Roanoke Valley Christian (8-10, 6-4) trailed by seven points heading into the fourth quarter.
The Eagles rallied to tie it and were looking to set up the final shot when they threw away the ball with four seconds left. After Timberlake Christian called a timeout, RVC broke up the inbounds pass and Nester collected the loose ball. The sophomore's shot from a wing just beat the buzzer.
Billy Fluker, a senior guard, scored 16 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to lead the comeback for the Eagles. Scott Apjok added 17 points.
Jon Phillips and Ryan Spear scored 18 points each for Timberlake (5-9, 1-6).

BUENA VISTA - Kris Carter scored 23 points and Mike McElroy added 19 as the Fighting Blues overwhelmed the Knights in the Pioneer District.
Parry McCluer (13-1, 6-0) led 69-30 heading to the fourth quarter before emptying its bench.
Tico Tolley and Keith Bryant scored 10 points each to lead James River.
