OBIT NELSON, ROGER LEE

NELSON, Roger Lee, 41, of Roanoke died Wednesday, February 2, 1994. He was born on November 2, 1952, in Princeton, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his father, Berkley Nelson. Survivors include dear and lovely mother, Thelma L. Nelson; two sons, Roger C. Carson, Shaheed Carson both of New Brunswick, N.J.; four daughters, Elemetra J. Carson of New Brunswick, N.J., Rosa Tucker, Orlando, Fla., Kamila Law and Jamila Law both of Roanoke; two granddaughters, Tamilia T. Parson and Shakayla Carson both of New Brunswick, N.J.; a devoted friend, Debbie Carson of New Brunswick, N.J.; two brothers, William M. Nelson and Calvin J. Nelson both of Roanoke; three sisters, Mary Martin, Roanoke, Doris D. Saunders, Old Bridge, N.J., Norma J. Brown, Roanoke. Funeral services Monday 11 a.m. at the Metropolitan Baptist Church, 2532 Shenandoah Ave., N.W. with the Rev. Winston Leonard officiating. Interment in the Mount Olivet Methodist Church Cemetery, Boones Mill. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
