OBIT OVERSTREET, EVERETT C.

OVERSTREET, Everett C., ("Bob"), 74, of 118 Second St., Rocky Mount, died Thursday, February 3, 1994, in a Salem hospital. Mr. Overstreet was born in Bedford County. He was a member of the Sandy Ridge Baptist Church and retired from the Kroger Warehouse with 40 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Hodges Overstreet, of the home; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Purney Hanabass, Roanoke, Ossie and Edgar Carter, Bedford, Frankie and Theo Williamson, Newport News; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edgar Hodges, Waynesboro, La., Rachel and Bruce Via, Stuart, Clyde and Beulah Hodges, Rocky Mount, Dorothy and Cliff Walker, Rocky Mount, Margie and Bill Freeman, Altavista, Nadine King, Akron, Ohio, Junior and Peggy Hodges, Rocky Mount, Loretta and Joel Prillaman, Rocky Mount, Walter and Martha Hodges, Danville, Jackie and Stella Hodges, Albuquerque, N.M.; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Flora Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
