OBIT TURNBULL, MYRTLE ENGLISH
TURNBULL, Myrtle English, 97, of Route 1, Penhook, died Saturday, February
5, 1994 in Gretna Healthcare Center. She was born October 16, 1896 in Bedford
County and was the daughter of the late Robert Coleman English and Emma
Virginia Hodnett English. She was a member of Liberty Christian Church. She
was married to Willie S. Turnbull who predeceased her. She was also
predeceased by one daughter Pernie J. Turnbull, two sons Billy J. Turnbull and
James H. Turnbull. Survivors include one son, Eddie C. Turnbull, Charleston,
S.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Virginia) McCrickard, Danville, Helen T.
Gilbert, Ringgold; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four
great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday,
February 7, 1994 at Liberty Christian Church by Wayne Grinnell, Pastor.
Interment will follow in the Liberty Memorial Cemetery. The family will
receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home,
Grenta.
