QUAIL TO BE STUDIED

Biologists of the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries will begin trapping quail this month as part of a three-year study to investigate the nesting ecology of the bobwhite.

Researchers believe that one of the reasons quail populations have been struggling is the lack of nesting and brood habitat in Virginia.
