OBIT MUTTER, ROBERT L.

MUTTER, Robert L., 86, of Roanoke, died Sunday, February 6, 1994 in a local nursing home. Mr. Mutter was a member of Melrose Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a retired fireman with the City of Roanoke with 36 years service, a member of Melrose Masonic Lodge #139 A.F. & A.M., Past High Priest of Elmwood Royal Arch Chapter #33, Past Commander of Bayard Commandery #15 Knights Templar, Past High Priest of Alpha Star Council #71. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Louise M. and Edward T. Via, Jenny M. and Carlton T. Brooks, all of Roanoke; sister, Mrs. Helen M. Belcher, New Port Richey, Fla.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials may be made to the building fund of Melrose Baptist Church. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Melrose Baptist Church. The Rev. Larry E. Sprouse will officiate. Interment with masonic rites will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel from 11 a.m. Monday.
