OBIT HARRELL, ZULA OMSBY
HARRELL, Zula Omsby, 68, of Pembroke, died Tuesday, February 89, 1994 in a
Montgomery County nursing home. Born in Giles County on February 15, 1927, she
was a daughter of the late Howard Peyton and Annie Roxie Link Smith. She was a
member of the New River Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints. Her husband, J. Elmer Harrell preceded her in death. She is survived
by two sons, John David Smith and Barry D. Harrell, both of Pembroke; three
daughters, Karen E. Oliver of Bassett, Doris A. Thomas of Princeton, W.Va.,
Penny S. Sykes of Hampton; three sisters, Edith Spangler of Salem, Dorothy
Douthat of Pembroke, Lila McNally of Pheonix, Ariz., 12 grandchildren. Funeral
services will be conducted Thursday, February 10, 1994 in the New River Ward
of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Pembroke at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park at Pearisburg. The family will receive
friends at the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke Wednesday evening from 6 to 9.
