OBIT GRAVLEY, BARNEY

GRAVLEY, Barney, ("Spud"), 78, of Hillsville, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 1994 at Winston-Salem, N.C. He was born July 3, 1915 in Wythe County the son of the late William Barney Gravley and Anna Donothan Gravley. He is survived by his wife, Hettie B. Gravley, Hillsville; daughters and son-in-law, Alice and Amos Bryant, Salem, Rebecca Rambo, Hillsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Daisy Gravley, Hillsville, Donald and Judy Gravley, Hillsville; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 1994 at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with the Rev. Charles Mackey officiating. Burial will be in Dalton Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville.
