PIANO FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND

The Highlands Chapter of the Virginia Music Teachers Association, and the Radford University Department of Music is sponsoring the 11th annual Rebecca Orr Memorial Piano Technique festival Saturday in Powell Hall on the Radford University campus. The event is in memory of Orr, a Blacksburg resident who was killed by a drunk driver as she was jogging near Oberlin College, where she was a student.

The memorial includes an honors recital for outstanding participants and a scholarship awarded to a high school junior or senior participant.
