INCLEMENT WEATHER CLOSES PARKWAY

The Blue Ridge Parkway was closed Wednesday night because of a local weather warning of freezing rain and snow.

Pansy Clark of the Parkway Service said the road was closed at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday from milepost 0 to milepost 136, including the commuter zone from U.S. 220 to U.S. 460.
