OBIT CAIN, JANIE ELIZA

CAIN, Janie Eliza, 86, of Salem, died, Wednesday, February 9, 1994. Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Della Pendleton Stanley. She was the widow of Charles J. Cain. She was a member of Fort Lewis Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn C. Bradshaw and Kathleen C. Rushing, both of Salem; two sisters, Nora Poindexter of Ruffing, N.C., Clara McDaniels of Nase, Va.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, February 12 at the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. Officiating is the Rev. Leonard Southern. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
