OBIT OVERSTREET, LUCY ELVIE

OVERSTREET, Lucy Elvie, 92, of Route 3, Bedford, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 1994 in the Lewis-Gale Hospital. She was born December 7, 1901 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Henry Lewis Overstreet and Lucy Lansdown Overstreet. She was a member of the Wilson's United Methodist Church. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Glennie O. and Willie A. Gillaspie, Bedford; many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 12, 1994 at 1 p.m. from the Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford, by the Rev. John Mitchell. Interment will follow in the Wilson's United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 pm at the Updike Funeral Home, Bedford.
