OBIT BUCHANAN, JOSEPHINE MAXWELL

BUCHANAN, Josephine Maxwell, ("Tee"), 81, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, February 8, 1994 at her home. Mrs. Buchanan was born in Roanoke County on August 18, 1912, the daughter of the late George Madison and Mary Brown Maxwell. She received a B.S. degree from Roanoke College, Salem. Mrs. Buchanan was an active member of Blacksburg Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her husband, William Good Buchanan Jr.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary B. and Tom Bailey, Cary, N.C., Todd B. and Mike Gorman, Decatur, Ala., Jane B. Broadwater, Midlothian; two sons and daughters-in-law, William G. III and Lee Buchanan, Ramsey, N.J., Robert M. and Gloria Buchanan, Charlotte, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; five sisters; one brother. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 12, at the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church with the Rev. D. Cameron Murchison Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30 until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
