VEGETABLE SCHOOL SET FEB. 17

The Third annual Virginia-Carolina Vegetable School will be held Thursday, Feb. 17, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars building. The program is sponsored jointly by the Virginia Cooperative Extension and the North Carolina Extension in a regional effort to update commercial vegetable growers on the latest production and marketing information.

The meeting will cover several topics including insect management for tomatoes, peppers and cabbage; selecting the right tomato variety and intensive vegtetable crop production research.

Registration is $10, which includes a catered lunch.
