WRESTLERS GO TO THE MAT

Only one tournament that could lead many Timesland wrestlers to the state tournament still is scheduled to be completed today.

The Region IV tournament, involving New River District teams from Radford, Blacksburg, Carroll County and Christiansburg, will take place today at John Battle High School in Bristol.

The Region III meet at Rockbridge County will start at 4 p.m. today and will not be completed until Monday.

The Roanoke Valley District tournament at Pulaski County and the Region C meet at Glenvar have been postponed from today until Tuesday. REGION III TOURNAMENT At Rockbridge County High School Today 2:30-3:30 p.m. - Weigh-in. 3:30 - Coaches meeting. 4 p.m. - First session (four mats): first round. Second session (four mats): follows with quarterfinals and follow-ups. Monday 3-4 p.m. - Weigh-in. 4-4:30 - Coaches meeting. 5 p.m. - Third session (four mats): semifinals, consolation quarterfinals, consolation semifinals, consolation finals, finals and awards.
