OBIT--GILES, LENORE ORTHONETTE

GILES, Lenore Orthonette, 92, of Friendship Manor, Roanoke, a widow of 56 years, patiently & lovingly serving the Lord, passed away Thursday, February 10, 1994, at Community Hospital of Roanoke. She was a member of Windsor Hills Baptist Church. Her husband, James H. Giles Jr.; a son, Douglas M. Giles; and daughter, Lenore O. Minnix, preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Leo Summers, Vinton, Kathryn and Leslie Wilson, Mabel and Marvin Riels, all of Pensacola, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Betty Giles, Roanoke, Richard and Carolyn Giles, Pass Christian, Miss.; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 14, 1994, at Oakey's South Chapel. The Rev. C. Lawrence Dodson will officiate. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Oakey's South Chapel.
