OBIT JONAS, OCIE M.

JONAS, Ocie M., 96, or Roanoke, died Thursday, February 10, 1994. She was predeceased by her husband Nile B. Jonas and one son and daughter-in-law Reginald and Peggy Jonas of Cary, N.C. Mrs. Jonas was a member of Huntington Court United Methodist Church, the Mizpah Bible Class and the United Methodist Women. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Tim Timmons, Forest; five grandchildren, Captain Steven R. Timmons and wife, Leisa, Washington, D.C., David E. Timmons and wife, Julia, Lynchburg, John R. Timmons, Ardmore, Pa., Vicki Jonas Wilson and husband, Ken, Washington, D.C., Randall D. Jonas, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; six great-grandchildren, Meagan, Jessica, John Colby Timmons of Washington, D.C., Seth and Susanna Timmons, Lynchburg, Amanda Jonas, Ft. Walton Beach, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Cecile J. Miller, Salem; a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Huntington Court United Methodist Church, 3333 Williamson Road, Roanoke, Va. 24012 or a favorite charity. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Monday at Oakey's North Chapel by Dr. Alton M. Washington. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's North Chapel.
