OBIT--NEWCOMB, EULA VICTORY SHIVELY
NEWCOMB, Eula Victory Shively, 69, of Ferrum, died Thursday, February 10,
1994 at Roanoke Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Newcomb was born August 11, 1924,
the daughter of the late Plumer and Annie Mae Thompson Shively. She was the
wife of the late Luther Frank Newcomb Jr., who died May 25, 1993. She retired
from Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She is survived by two sons, Kenny Newcomb,
Ferrum, Va. and Sammie Newcomb of Florida; one sister, Mural Moschler,
Danville, Va.; one brother, Vadel (Bud) Shively, Bassett, Va.; seven
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held
Monday, February 14, 1994 at 11 a.m. in the Evangelistic House of Prayer,
Ferrum, with the Rev. Bud Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the Arbor
Baptist Church Cemetery near Sutherlin, Va. The family will receive friends
Sunday night from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, who is in
charge of the arrangements.
