OBIT--DUNCAN, COL. MADISON M.

DUNCAN, Col. Madison M., Ret., 89, of Chilhowie, died Thursday, February 10, 1994, in Johnson Memorial Hospital, Abingdon. He retired from the U.S. Army after 30 years of service. He was a member of Saint James Lutheran Church. He is survived by three sons, Maurice H. Duncan, Grand Rapids, Mich., Lane W. Duncan, Saltville, Douglas E. Duncan, Chilhowie; two brothers, Everette D. Duncan and William L. Duncan, both of Chilhowie; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charlotte M. Streckler-Baseler officiating. Burial to follow in Saint James Cemetery. Francis Marion VFW Post #4667, Marion, will conduct graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Williams Funeral Home.
