GROUP SEEKS VOLUNTEERS

Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the New River Valley is seeking volunteers - especially men - for the program. Big brothers and big sisters become friends and mentors for youngsters between 6 and 16 years old.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, own their own vehicles, have a valid driver's license and be able to serve four hours a week for at least a year (or three semesters, if a student).

An orientation will be held Feb. 23, 6 p.m., at the Christiansburg Public Library, 125 Sheltman St.
