KELLER, MARGARET PRESTWOOD, 88, OF ROANOKE,
KELLER, Margaret Prestwood, 88, of Roanoke, widow of the Reverend Gordon L.
Keller, died Friday, February 11, 1994 at Our Lady of the Valley in Roanoke.
She was born March 12, 1905 in Lenoir, North Carolina. From 1948 - 1961, the
Kellers lived in Roanoke, where Rev. Keller was Pastor of Belmont Baptist
Church. Mrs. Keller was active as a Sunday School teacher, W M U president and
leader of various youth groups. After Rev. Keller retired from the ministry,
they lived in Vinton and Salem. She is survived by her three children, Rebecca
K. Ottinger of Hillsboro, Va., Kathryn K. Housman of Roanoke, and Edward L.
Keller of Hayward, Calif.; five grandchildren, Donna H. Spencer, Vicki
Housman, Marianne H. Hage, David Keller, and Beth Keller; one brother, Paul
Prestwood of North Carolina; three sisters, Viola Goble, Myrtle Richardson and
Ruth Rader, all of Richmond. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday
at Belmont Baptist Church, preceded by viewing beginning at 2 p.m. The family
will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday evening at Oakey's downtown.
Interment will be at Poovey's Grove Baptist Church in Granite Falls, N. C. on
Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Belmont Baptist Church, 825
Stewart Ave. S.E., Roanoke, Va. 24013.
