OBIT GREEN, CHESTER HAROLD

GREEN, Chester Harold, 69, of Buena Vista, died Friday, February 11, 1994, in the Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Mr. Green was born November 17, 1924, in Buena Vista, a son of the late Earl Sylvester Green and Minnie Huffman Green. He was a member of the First Brethren Church of Buena Vista and the American Legion Post #126. Surviving are his wife, Gertie J. Green; two daughters, Carolyn G. Topping, Glasgow, Pamela G. Ragland, Buena Vista; one son, Ronald G. Green, Buena Vista; two stepsons, Clemeth Roberts, Buena Vista, Franklin Eason Roberts, Buena Vista; two sisters, Cecil G. Chittum, Mildred Ward, both of Buena Vista; two brothers, Ollie Green, Donald Green both of Buena Vista; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; a former wife, Edith S. Green, Buena Vista. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday, February 14, 1994, at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post #126. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service, Buena Vista.
