Dena Renee Urick and Ian Mitchell McRoy were united in marriage on January 22, 1994 at the Vinton War Memorial. Reverend Kevin Meadows officiated. The maid of honor was Donna Austopchuk, friend of the bride. The best man was Edward Vaughn, friend of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Urick III of Vinton. She is a graduate of William Byrd High School and is currently employed by First Union Bank.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis B. McRoy Jr. of Vinton. He is a graduate of William Byrd High School and is currently employed by Frame-TecConstruction.

The couple will reside in Roanoke.
