OBIT-ASBERRY, LOUISE LAYMAN

ASBERRY, Louise Layman, 77, of Vinton, died Saturday, February 12, 1994. She was the daughter of the late Houston H. and Jessie Carper Layman, of Catawba. Mrs. Asberry graduate from Catawba High School. She was retired from F & W Woolworth Company after 40 years of service. Mrs. Asberry was a member of South Roanoke United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Avis and Joe Little. Mrs. Asberry is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Asberry, Vinton; brother and sister-in-law, Robert H. and Estelle Layman, Roanoke; sister and brother-in-law, Opal and Lewis Chambers of Roanoke; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Asberry of Bristol, Va.; two nephews, Michael L. Chambers, Vinton, Sam J. Little, Roanoke. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 15, 1994, 1 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Edward J. Taylor Jr. officiating with burial to follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
