OBIT-CHITTUM, CARL, ("BUG")

CHITTUM, Carl, ("Bug"), 81, of Buena Vista died Saturday, February 12, 1994, in the Shenandoah Valley Health Care Center. He was born in Rockbridge County April 20, 1912, the son of the late George and Bertie McCullough Chittum. Surviving are son, Daryl Chittum of Buena Vista; three daughters, Doris Mikels, Nancy Graybill and Darlene D. Huffman all of Buena Vista; one sister, Annie Guyan, Newport News; two brothers, George Chittum and Robert Chittum both of Buena Vista; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dean Staton and the Rev. Odell Humphries. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
