OBIT-GORDON, LILLIE NEVA WYNN

GORDON, Lillie Neva Wynn, 78, of Rural Retreat, died late Saturday, February 12, 1994 at her residence. She was the widow of Andrew Freeman Gordon and was preceded in death by two sons, William Edward Gordon and James Howard (Dubi) Gordon. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Ann G. Cassell, Margaret and Jim Leedy, Frances and Frank Smith, all of Rural Retreat; a son and daughter-in-law, Carroll and Betty Gordon, Cripple Creek; two brothers, Walter (Chubeye) Wynn, Rural Retreat, Kelly Wynn, Malvern, Pa.; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 1994 from the Lindsey Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Hall and the Rev. Will Shewey officiating. Interment will follow in the Black Lick Cemetery in Rural Retreat. The family sincerely requests that those who prefer may make memorials to the Rural Retreat Emergency Service or the Hospice of Wythe County. Friends may call after 2 p.m. at the Lindsey Funeral Home Tuesday, where the family will receive friends there from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening or they may call at the residence at any time. Lindsey Funeral Home, Rural Retreat, is in charge of arrangements.
