SO?!!!

Have you ever wondered what it's like at the edge of the universe, or what causes sinkholes, or what's the latest technique in fingerprinting suspected criminals? These questions and more will be answered Saturday during the Seventh Annual Science Spectacular, ``On the Cutting Edge.''

You might want to walk through a mobile MRI unit, delve into some interactive computer software or quiz a physician about growth patterns in children.

Sponsored by the Science Museum of Western Virginia and Hopkins Planetarium, the Science Spectacular will focus on anything new or current in science and technology. Representatives from regional colleges and area industries will provide hands-on demonstrations, exhibits and presentations on their state-of-the-art research.

You can explore the latest in science at the museum, Center in the Square in downtown Roanoke, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Regular admission prices, $4 for adults and $2.50 for children and seniors, will be in effect. Group rates are available with advanced reservations. For more information, call 342-5710.
