Forward William Fitzgerald and guard Keith Hampton provided a 1-2 scoring punch for the Colonels, combining for 53 points. Fitzgerald had 27 points, and Hampton had 26. Derrick Hines added 15 for Fleming (11-4).
The Colonels led by 22 points in the second quarter and led 46-30 at halftime.
Franklin County rallied to trail by eight points in the fourth quarter but got no closer. Carlos Holland put in 29 points for the Eagles and Chad Foutz added 18 points. Each had four 3-point goals. \

Mike McElroy scored 11 of his 22 points in the second quarter as the Fighting Blues rolled past the Highlanders for a Pioneer District win. Parry McCluer (15-1, 8-1) outscored Glenvar 25-7 in the second quarter to take a 36-18 halftime lead.
Jason Anderson had 17 points for the Highlanders (9-5, 6-2). Josh Williamson scored 13 points, and Brad Melton added 12. \

Shannon Williams scored 18 points and Jeff Cronise added 16 as the Cavaliers beat the Eagles in a non-district game. Botetourt (9-7) took an 11-0 lead and led 19-8 after one quarter. The Cavaliers used a full-court press to force 18 Roanoke Valley Christian turnovers. Billy Fluker led the Eagles (9-12) with 15 points. RVC shot 31 percent. \

LYNCHBURG - Shad Gilley had 22 points and Timberlake Christian drained its free throws in the fourth quarter for a Virginia Independent Conference victory.
Timberlake (6-12, 2-9) made 10 of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter to hold off the Celtics.
Roanoke Catholic (7-12, 4-8) trailed 67-66 with seven seconds left, but a turnover prevented the Celtics from getting a shot to win. Deon Royer led Catholic with 16 points, Tony Joyce and Jemarh Patterson had 13 each, and Mike Kolnok added 10. \
