OBIT MACDONALD, ESTHER DUELL

MACDONALD, Esther Duell, 81, of Christiansburg, died Sunday, February 13, 1994, in Montgomery Regional Hospital. A retired school teacher with the New York School Systems, she was also a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Christiansburg. Preceded in death by her husband, Ranald A. Macdonald, she is survived by one son, Ranald I. Macdonald, Raleigh, N.C.; one daughter, Kathryn L. Brown, Christiansburg; her brother, George M. Duell, McDonough, N.Y.; two grandsons, Michael J. Grome, Weedsport, N.Y.; Ranald A. Macdonald, Rocky Gap, Va.; one great-grandson, Erik M. Grome, Ill. A memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church conducted by Father Robert Goldsmith. Interment will follow in the McDonough Cemetery, McDonough, N.Y. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Tuesday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the charity of one's choice.
