ACTIVIST-NOVELIST WILL SPEAK AT TECH

Novelist and civil rights activist Marita Golden fotowill read from her works Wednesday, 8 p.m., in Heth ballroom on the Radford University campus.

She will lead an informal discussion from 4 until 5 p.m. in 401 Young Hall.

Golden, an English professor at George Mason University, is founder and first president of the African American Writers Guild, based in Washington, D.C.

She is the author of several novels, including And Do Remember Me, A Woman's Place and Long Distance Life.

A book signing and reception will follow the reading. The events are free, and the public is welcome.
