OBIT WOODSON, JACK B. SR.

WOODSON, Jack B. Sr. 78, of Vinton, died Monday, February 14, 1994, in a local hospital. He was a former employee of the S&W Cafeteria for many years and was retired from Hollins College. He was a Masonic member with the Pleasants Lodge #63. Surviving are his wife, Ruth G. Woodson; son and daughter-in-law, Jack B. Jr. and Donna D. Woodson, Roanoke; a daughter, Joyce Diane Childress, Vinton; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Sam H. and Julie Vass, Silver Spring, Md., James and Barbara Luke, Vinton; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Jewel H. Sheere, Roanoke. Graveside services will be at Evergreen Burial Park, 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Kenneth Butterworth officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
